AI for Payroll Leaders is operated by JGA Ventures Limited (company number 14997722). JGA Ventures Limited and JGA Recruitment Group Ltd (company number 05815110) are part of the same group. Both are registered in England and Wales, with registered office at 3 Kensworth Gate, 200-204 High Street South, Dunstable, Bedfordshire, LU6 3HS.
The two companies are joint controllers of the personal information described in this policy. That means they decide together how and why it is used and share responsibility for protecting it. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean both companies. You can exercise your rights against, and raise any data protection question with, either of them.
If you have any questions, or you want to exercise any of the rights set out below, email us at [email protected]. Where needed, we will pass your request to JGA's data protection contact, the Operations & Sustainability Director, who acts for both companies.
This policy covers how we handle your information as a buyer of the programme. It sits alongside JGA's UK GDPR Data Protection and Privacy Policy, which explains how the group handles personal information more generally.
When you buy or register for the programme we collect:
If you contact us by email we keep that correspondence so we can deal with your query and anything that follows from it.
| What for | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Taking payment and giving you access to the programme | Performance of our contract with you |
| Sending you emails about your account, your access and the programme itself | Performance of our contract with you |
| Dealing with refund requests and support queries | Performance of our contract, and our legal obligations |
| Keeping accounting and tax records | Our legal obligations |
| Issuing your certificate of completion and your digital badge, and having your recertification credits recorded | Performance of our contract with you |
| Sharing your information between JGA Ventures and JGA Recruitment Group to run the programme and keep our records | Our legitimate interest in operating as a single group |
| Sending you marketing about our other programmes | Consent, or our legitimate interest where you are an existing customer |
| Passing your contact details to PayrollOrg for their own marketing | Consent, given separately on the order confirmation page |
We share your personal information with the following organisations. We do not sell it to anyone.
As joint controllers, the two companies may share your information with each other where that is needed to run the programme, deal with your queries and keep our records. JGA Recruitment Group will only send you its own marketing if you have agreed to receive it.
This sharing is necessary to give you the accreditation that forms part of the programme you have bought. If you would rather we did not share your details with them, we will not be able to issue your certificate or your badge.
After you buy, on the order confirmation page, you can choose to let PayrollOrg email you about their own payroll courses, events and education. That is entirely optional and nothing else changes if you decline. If you do opt in, PayrollOrg receives your contact details and becomes responsible for that marketing as a separate data controller, subject to their own privacy policy. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing us, or by unsubscribing from their emails directly.
We also share information with our accountants and professional advisers where that is necessary, and with anyone we are legally required to disclose it to.
Stripe, HighLevel, PayrollOrg and Credly by Pearson all operate in the United States. Where your information leaves the UK it is protected by an approved safeguard, which will be either the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, or the recipient's certification under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
You can ask us which safeguard applies to a particular transfer by emailing [email protected].
This site sets a small number of cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work. They keep your session active as you move between pages, they keep your basket and your login working, and they help Stripe detect fraudulent payments at the checkout. Cookies of this kind do not require your consent, but you are entitled to know they are there.
HighLevel, which hosts this site, also sets a cookie and stores a visitor ID and session details on your device. It uses these to record the pages you visit and how you arrived, including any campaign link you followed, so we can see which of our marketing brings people to the programme. If you buy or fill in a form, this information is linked to your record.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, but if you block the strictly necessary ones the checkout and the course platform will not work properly.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
Email [email protected] to exercise any of these and we will respond within one month.
Bear in mind that if you ask us to delete your information we will not be able to keep your access to the programme open, and we may still have to retain payment records to meet our legal obligations.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we have a chance to put it right. We will acknowledge a data protection complaint within 30 days and tell you the outcome without undue delay. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. Where a change is significant, and particularly where it affects who we share your information with, we will email you about it.
